SIKESTON -- Stella Pearl Pearson, 88, of Sikeston died Saturday, Jan. 23, 1999, at Miner Nursing Center in Miner.
She was born Feb. 28, 1910, at Formosa, Ark., daughter of Charley and Malissa Scroggins Shipp. She and Newton H. Pearson were married Oct. 20, 1933, in Conway County, Ark. He died Aug. 12, 1992.
She was a housewife.
She was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include two sons, Carl Pearson of Sikeston and Charles D. Pearson of Edgewood, Md.; two daughters, Kathryn Bailey of Springfield and Linda Ray of Lyons, Ill.; a sister, Alta Sealey of Alameda, Calif.; 17 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, brother, two sisters and a grandchild.
Friends may call at the Blanchard Funeral Chapel in Sikeston on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until the funeral at 10:30.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral chapel, with the Rev. Robert Burnes officiating. Burial will be at Garden of Memories in Sikeston.
