PERRYVILLE -- Stella Ann Brewer, 91, of Perryville, died Monday, Jan. 24, 1994, at Perry County Memorial Hospital. She was born Oct. 10, 1902, at Perryville, daughter of Francis Monroe and Sara Elizabeth Tucker Bass. She and Edward L. Brewer were married June 30, 1925, in Perryville. He died July 31, 1962...

PERRYVILLE -- Stella Ann Brewer, 91, of Perryville, died Monday, Jan. 24, 1994, at Perry County Memorial Hospital.

She was born Oct. 10, 1902, at Perryville, daughter of Francis Monroe and Sara Elizabeth Tucker Bass. She and Edward L. Brewer were married June 30, 1925, in Perryville. He died July 31, 1962.

Brewer was a retired director with Perry County Division of Family Services.

She was a member of St. Vincent's Catholic Church and Ladies of Charity, life member of American Legion Post 133 Auxiliary, and past department president of American Legion of Missouri.

Survivors include three sons, Louis Brewer of Carbondale, Ill., Albert and Dennis Brewer of Perryville; three daughters, Dorothy Uding of Homosassa Springs, Fla., Sister Helen Brewer of Fort Worth, Texas, Victoria Elliott of Metropolis, Ill.; a sister, Frances Boxdorfer of Chester, Ill.; 23 grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, two brothers and three sisters.

The Ladies of Charity will have a rosary at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Vincent's Church. The funeral mass will be at 10, with the Rev. Kenneth Grass officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Chapel from 5-9 p.m. today, and 6:30-9:45 a.m. Thursday. The parish wake will be at 7 and American Legion Auxiliary wake at 7:30 tonight.
