Stanley Stepak, son of the late Antoni Stepak and Teresa Jarosz, was born Sept. 10, 1927, in Wegrzewo, Poland, and departed this life Monday, Jan. 25, 2021, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau at the age of 93 years.
Stanley was a former tool and die machinist for Chrysler Manufacturing in Cleveland and a veteran of the Polish army serving under the British command, during World War II. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and a resident of Scott City.
On Sept. 30, 1975, he was united in marriage to Maria Zastawny in Cleveland. She survives of the home in Scott City.
Besides his wife, survivors include four sons, Stanley, Steve, Michael and Adam Stepak; four daughters, Sue Bird, Alina Castillo, Malgorzata Dinsenmeyer and Eva Obirek; 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Scott City.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at the church, with the Rev. Michael Casteel officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Augustine Cemetery in Kelso, Missouri.
