Stanley Edwin Propst, 75, of Fayetteville, N.C., formerly of Cape Girardeau, passed away in an accident Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012.
He was born Sept. 20, 1937, in Sedgewickville, Mo., to Tony and Esther Conrad Propst. He and Kathleen Holly were married April 22, 1962.
Stanley worked at Western Electric in Sikeston, Mo., and transferred to Lucent in North Carolina, where he retired. As a pastime, he drove for Powers Swain Chevrolet.
He leaves behind the love of his life, Kathleen; three children, Tonya (Joe) Avila of Kansas City, Mo., Bobby Propst of the home, Mary (John) McCaskey of North Carolina; seven grandchildren; a brother, Ronald (Barbara) Propst of Cape Girardeau; three sisters, Rossetta (Charles) Davis and Linda (Jim) Dedert of Cape Girardeau, Joy (Lee) Martin of Decatur, Ill.; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A private service of remembrance was Monday.
