ORAN -- Funeral for Stanley Clayton Perdue of Viola, Ark., will be held at 2 p.m. today at Viola Assembly of God Church, Eddie Passmore and Alan Cartwright will officiate. Burial will be in Viola Cemetery.

Cox-Estes Funeral Home in Salem, Ark., is in charge of arrangements.

Perdue, 55, died Wednesday, March 31, 1999, at Baxter County Regional Hospital in Mountain Home, Ark.

He was born Jan. 14, 1944, in St. Louis, son of Stanley Catus and Olive Lucille Lapurdus Perdue. He and Ruby Dean Shrable-Hurst were married Dec. 20, 1969, in Centerpoint, Ark.

Perdue attended Viola Assembly of God Church. He served in the U.S. Navy.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Stanley Perdue of Mountain Home; three daughters, Angela Anderson of Nebraska, Cathy Perdue-Martin of Gassville, Ark., Beverly Sanders of Viola; five brothers, a twin, Monte Perdue, and Michael Perdue of Gainesville, Ga., Pat Perdue of Bull Shoals, Ark., James Perdue of Midway, Ark., and Danny Perdue of Florida.

Also surviving are six sisters, Jackie Myers of Cuba, Mo., Diane Scholls and Cindy Chapman of Holiday, Fla., Judy Puddy of Bull Shoals, Cathy LeGrand and Becky McConnell of Oran; and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.
