ADVANCE, Mo. -- Stanley Dean Leadbetter took the hand of Christ Friday, June 24, 2022, and followed him home to be reunited with his beautiful wife, his brother, his parents, grandparents, and aunts and uncles.
He worked for Nestle Purina in Bloomfield, Missouri from the time he graduated high school until he passed away.
His love for animals not only showed at work, but at home also. He always had animals at home. He and his wife, Angela, were known for rescuing animals that showed up at work.
He married his best friend, Angela, on Sept. 5, 2009. They completed each other. His wife preceded him in death only three months ago.
Also preceding him in death were his brother, Kevin Leadbetter; his parents, Cletus and Mary Leadbetter; and his maternal and paternal grandparents, Vester and Ethel Robins and Paul and Myrtle Leadbetter.
Survivors include a niece, Rachel Leadbetter; sister-in-law, Valeria Leadbetter; stepniece, Angela Sterns; stepnephew, Trenton Rodgers; maternal uncle and aunt from his mom's side, Paul Dean and Evelyn Robins; numerous uncles and aunts from his dad's side, Orville and Reba Leadbetter, Glenda and Bill Woodard, Larry and Brenda Leadbetter, Neda and Tony Chambliss, and Melba Leadbetter; and numerous cousins.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Internment to follow at Morgan Memorial Park in Advance.
