PERRYVILLE -- Stanley J. Laws, 76, of Columbia, died Tuesday, July 13, 1993, in Centralia. He was born June 3, 1917, at Perryville, son of Jesse Elias and Theresa Cissell Laws. PERRYVILLE -- Stanley J. Laws, 76, of Columbia, died Tuesday, July 13, 1993, in Centralia.

He was born June 3, 1917, at Perryville, son of Jesse Elias and Theresa Cissell Laws. He and the former Leola Miget were married Oct. 10, 1942.

Laws was retired owner/operator of Airpark Restaurant and Stan's Beef and Burger Restaurant in Mexico, Mo. He had also been a police officer at Perryville.

He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Columbia, American Legion, National Rifle Association, and AARP.

Laws moved from Perryville to Mexico, Mo., in 1967.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Douglas Laws of Perryville, Keith and Kevin Laws of Columbia; a daughter, Jeanne Romann of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, Lynn Laws of St. Louis, Harold Laws of Perryville; a sister, Juanita Truman of Redondo Beach, Calif., and eight grandchildren.

Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Vincent's Catholic Church. The Rev. Kevin Fausz will officiate, with burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 6-9 p.m. today, and 6:30-9:45 a.m. Friday. A parish wake will be held at 7 tonight, and American Legion wake at 7:20.
