Bishop Stafford Lee Moore Sr., 60, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013, at Saint Francis Medical Center.
He was born Jan. 6, 1953, in Cape Girardeau, to the late Joseph and Creasie Nunley Moore.
He was employed by Procter & Gamble Co. in Jackson, for more than 27 years, and was a veteran of the United States Navy, receiving an honorable discharge.
He was the current pastor of Mount Moriah Missionary Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau and Bishop of House of Prayer World Outreach Centers in Charleston, Mo., and Cape Girardeau.
He was united in marriage to Shelly Ware, who survives of the home.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Kenya Moore, Stafford (Kenosha) Moore Jr. and Octavius Moore of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, Joseph Moore and Michael Moore of Cape Girardeau; four sisters, Rose Harris and Carol Archie of Cape Girardeau, and Ernestine Pamilton and Deronda Swan of Texas; three grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. to time of service Saturday at LaCroix Church, 3102 Lexington Ave., in Cape Girardeau.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church, with Apostle Anthony Green officiating. Interment will be in Fairmount Cemetery in Cape Girardeau with full military honors.
