Sonya Marie Long of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, Oct. 20, 1999, at her home.
She was born Dec. 31, 1940, in Tiptonville, Tenn., the daughter of Johnny L. and Susie Organ Lucas.
She was a member of the Travelers Rest Baptist Church in Sikeston and a former choir member.
She is survived by six sons, Larry Davis of Sikeston, Bobby Davis of Kansas City, and Keith Long, Freddie Long, Danny Long and Jamie Long, all of Cape Girardeau; two daughters, Barbara Long and Sheila Long, both of Cape Girardeau; four brothers, Cletus Hailey and Austin Hailey, both of Metropolis, Ill., Joe Hailey of Charleston and J.L. Lucas of Moberly; four sisters, Erma Walker, Arzalia Jones and Bernice Flye, all of Sikeston, and Janet Miller of California; 33 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two children and a sister.
Visitation will be from noon Monday until the funeral service at 1 o'clock at the Travelers Rest Baptist Church in Sikeston, with the Rev. Sylvester Morgan officiating.
Burial will be at the Oak Grove Cemetery at Charleston.
Williams-Farr and Purnell Funeral Home in Sikeston is in charge of arrangements.
