SIKESTON -- Forrest L. "Slim" Catlett, 75, of Brooksville, Miss., died Wednesday, Aug. 21, 1996, at his home.
He was born March 8, 1921, in Cherry Valley, Ark., son of John Rayford and Sarah Frances Clifton Catlett. He and Ruth Reece were married April 27, 1946, in Morehouse.
Catlett had farmed, and also had worked at B&H Equipment Co., Bridger Equipment Co., and Leible Equipment Co., all in Sikeston. He was a member of Calvary Temple Assembly of God Church, and had served as an usher and deacon. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Wayne Catlett of San Jose, Calif.; two daughters, Shirley Catlett of Crawford, Miss., Frances Sulick of Pittsburgh, Pa., and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, three sisters and a grandson.
Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Calvary Temple Church, with the Revs. Dan Stoffel and Ron Delgado officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
