KELSO -- Sister Mary Adelma Seyer, 82, died Friday, Dec. 13, 1996, at Villa Gesu in St. Louis. She was born Dec. 20, 1913, at Kelso, daughter of Joseph J. and Pauline Dohogne Seyer. Seyer entered the School Sisters of Notre Dame at Lemay Sept. 1, 1931, professed her vows Aug. 7, 1934, and made the final commitment Aug. 18, 1940...

KELSO -- Sister Mary Adelma Seyer, 82, died Friday, Dec. 13, 1996, at Villa Gesu in St. Louis.

She was born Dec. 20, 1913, at Kelso, daughter of Joseph J. and Pauline Dohogne Seyer.

Seyer entered the School Sisters of Notre Dame at Lemay Sept. 1, 1931, professed her vows Aug. 7, 1934, and made the final commitment Aug. 18, 1940.

She served as a homemaker at convents in Missouri, Illinois, Mississippi, Texas and Louisiana 42 years. She served 12 years on the staff in charge of the diet kitchen at Villa Gesu, retiring in 1984.

Survivors include six brothers, Mark, Oscar, the Rev. James, Joseph, Vincent, and the Rev. Francis Seyer; three sisters, Irma Lappe, Delphine Longinette, and Sister Mary Clovis.

She was preceded in death by a brother.

Friends may call at Villa Gesu after 2 p.m. Sunday. A vigil will be held at 7.

Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Villa Gesu. Burial will be in the villa cemetery.
