ST. LOUIS Sister Catherine Nenninger, a former teacher in St. Louis, died Tuesday, Oct. 22, 1991, following a long illness, at the Villa Gesu Convent in North St. Louis County. Nenninger, 55, joined the School Sisters of Notre Dame in 1953 and took her vows in 1955. She taught in a rural and two urban schools in Missouri from 1955 to 1971, when she retired for health reasons...

ST. LOUIS Sister Catherine Nenninger, a former teacher in St. Louis, died Tuesday, Oct. 22, 1991, following a long illness, at the Villa Gesu Convent in North St. Louis County.

Nenninger, 55, joined the School Sisters of Notre Dame in 1953 and took her vows in 1955. She taught in a rural and two urban schools in Missouri from 1955 to 1971, when she retired for health reasons.

She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Bernadine Nenninger of Cape Girardeau; brothers Richard Nenninger, James Nenninger, Chris Nenninger, Chuck Nenninger, all of Cape Girardeau, and Robert Nenninger of Edwardsville, Ill.; sisters, Charlotte Nenninger of Cape Girardeau and Sister Richarda Nenninger of St. Louis.

She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Nenninger.

Funeral mass was celebrated at Villa Gesu Convent, 11755 Riverview Drive. Burial was in the convent cemetery.
