PERRYVILLE, Mo. — Simon W. "Joe" Lukefahr Jr., 67, of Perryville died Thursday, April 10, 2008, at his home.

He was born Feb. 28, 1941, at Perryville, Mo., son of Simon William and Anna Maried Huber Lukefahr. He and Barbara L. Becker were married June 11, 1966, at Perryville.

Lukefahr worked at Winkler Plumbing and Heating until his retirement. He was veteran of the U.S. Navy and a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Jeffrey Lukefahr and Mark Lukefahr, both of Perryville; five daughters, Michelle Schumer, Lisa Wibbenmeyer, Tina Lukefahr, Tammy Hacker and Jennifer Lukefahr, all of Perryville; two sisters, Mary Lukefahr and Sr. Joanne Lukefahr, both of St. Louis; a brother, the Rev. Oscar Lukefahr of Perryville; and 19 grandchildren.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. to the time of service Monday in the Gathering Space of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville. A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with the Rev. Oscar Lukefahr officiating. Burial is private.

Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville is in charge of arrangements.
