Shirley Jane Probst, 85, of Cape Girardeau and formerly of Marble Hill, Missouri, passed away July 17, 2022, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
She was born July 18, 1936, at Scopus, Missouri, daughter of Walter M. and Audrey Long Beard. She and William J. "Bill" Probst married Oct. 6, 1956. He passed away May 5, 2019.
Shirley was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Jackson.
Survivors include a daughter, Lavada Diana (Sanford) Fredman; two grandchildren; and two sisters, Gloria (Kenny) Hoxworth of Oak Ridge and Gladys Glover of Burfordville.
In addition to her husband of 62 years, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Kenneth, Harold, J.W. and Gilbert Beard; and two sisters, Mary Tyler and Nola June Lincoln.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
Funeral service will follow at the funeral home, with Marcus Kincaid officiating. Burial to follow in Lorimier Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
