OLIVE BRANCH, Ill. -- Shirley Merryman, 65, of Olive Branch died Monday, July 17, 2006, at her home.
She was born Feb. 14, 1941, in Charleston, Mo., daughter of Walter and Avil Thomas Burgess. She married Willard Merryman July 2, 1956.
Merryman attended the Miracle Center in Tamms, Ill. She was a cook at Cairo High School more than 20 years, and managed Cairo Truck Stop 10 years.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Carol Ramage of Olive Branch; two sons, Michael Merryman of Barlow, Ky., Keith Merryman of Olive Branch; a sister, Linda Fowler of Chattanooga, Tenn.; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son and a brother.
Friends may call today from 5 to 8 p.m. at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Gail Fuhr officiating. Burial will be in East Prairie Memorial Park in East Prairie, Mo., with the Rev. Scott Kelly officiating.
