KELSO, Mo. -- Shirley Ledure, daughter of the late Theon and Elfrieda Hess Blattel, was born Aug. 8, 1931, in Ancell and departed her life Thursday, March 9, 2023, at Fountainbleau Lodge in Cape Girardeau at the age of 91 years.
She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso, Ladies Sodality and Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary. She was a resident of Kelso.
On Feb. 14, 1950, she was united in marriage to Elmer T. Ledure in Kelso. He preceded her in death April 8, 1994.
Survivors include two sons, David (Sharon) Ledure of Jackson and Bob Ledure of Kelso; daughter, Diane Jackson (Dave Riley) of Benton, Missouri; brother, Larry (Mabel) Blattel; two grandchildren, Paul and Jason Ledure, both of Cape Girardeau; five great-grandchildren, Bailey, Kendell "Lucy," Trent, Parker and Riley; great-great-granddaughter, Amelia; and daughter-in-law, Gale Ledure.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Terry Ledure; brother, Theodore J. "T.J." Blattel; and sister, Mildred (Milly) Westrich.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 13, at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City with parish prayers at 7:30 p.m.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 14, in St. Augustine Catholic Church with the Rev. Tom Wilk officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
