ORAN, Mo. -- Shirley Faye Kitchen, 75, of Oran passed away Saturday, April 21, 2018, at the Life Care Center in Cape Girardeau, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born July 12, 1942, in Lutesville, Missouri, to the late Bill and Donna Tankersley Cook. She married William "Bud" Kitchen on Oct. 26, 1960, and he preceded her in death Aug. 22, 2001.
Shirley was a retired cutter for Columbia Sportswear in Chaffee, Missouri; she also worked for Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapels for the last 22 years. She was a member of the Randles Pentecostal Church in Randles. She was a member of Oran Chamber of Commerce and the Oran Optimist Club.
She is survived by two sons, Mike (Lanette) Kitchen of Bernie, Missouri, and Ray (Brenda) Cook of Oran; eight grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Pobst Barnes; a grandson, William Michael Kitchen; two brothers; and three sisters.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Don Leggett, the Rev. Jeremy Ferguson and the Rev. Jim Johnson officiating. Burial will be at Union Park Cemetery.
