ANNA, Ill. -- Shirley J. Hanney, 62, of Anna died Saturday, March 4, 2000, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo. ANNA, Ill. -- Shirley J. Hanney, 62, of Anna died Saturday, March 4, 2000, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

She was born June 21, 1937, in Anna, daughter of Archie and Pearl Sheppard Barker.

Hanney retired from the dietary department at Union County Hospital. She attended Landmark Pentecostal Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Debra Turner of Cobden; three sons, Terry Davis of Polk City, Fla., Ronald Davis of Mt. Glen, Jeff Davis of Jonesboro; six sisters, Shelby Brown and Sharon Green of Jonesboro, Karen Smith, Jan Brown and Pam Pind, all of Anna, Brenda Durham of Elco; a brother, Carroll "Sonny" Barker of Anna; and 10 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.

Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna after 6 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Charles Mitchell officiating. Burial will be in Jonesboro Cemetery.
