Shirley Beatrice Bishop, 78, 805 N. Henderson, died Tuesday, March 11, 1997, at the Lutheran Home.
She was born July 21, 1918, in Cape Girardeau County, daughter of Sherman and Floy Abernathy Dillingham. She and Earl Leasure were married March 19, 1937, in Cape Girardeau. He died in 1994. She married Darwin Bishop Jan. 21, 1950, in Piggott, Ark. He died in 1967.
Bishop had been a seamstress at a laundry company. She was a member of Hobbs Chapel United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Sue Priest; a brother, Galvin Dillingham; a sister, Jenny Angle, all of Cape Girardeau; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the chapel, with the Rev. David Stewart officiating. Burial will be in Hobbs Chapel Cemetery.
