ANNA, Ill. -- Sherry Noble Mitchell, 44, of Mount Vernon, Ill., formerly of Anna, died Saturday, May 28, 2005, at St. Mary's Good Samaritan Regional Hospital in Mount Vernon.

She was born Sept. 10, 1960, in Anna, daughter of Donald and Yvonne Isom Noble.

She served in the U.S. Army from 1979 to 1985 as a hydraulics specialist. She worked as an EMT and firefighter at Lake of Egypt and as a CNA at nursing homes in the area, most recently at Nature Trail Nursing Home in Mount Vernon.

Survivors include her parents of Anna; two brothers, Richard Noble of Bettendorf, Iowa, Earl Noble of Anna; and a special friend, Linda Roubal of Mount Vernon.

Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Crain Funeral Home in Anna.

The funeral will be at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home, with the Rev. Bill Carter officiating. Burial will be in the American Legion Cemetery.
