JACKSON -- Funeral service for Mrs. Sherry L. Philip of Jackson will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at McCombs Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Otto Steinhaus will officiate, with burial in Russell Heights Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. today.
Mrs. Philip, 39 years old, died Wednesday, Jan. 30, 1991, in a car accident on Interstate 55 near Route K.
She was born Feb. 18, 1951, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of James M. and Patricia Masterson Davenport. She married Harry Philip March 31, 1990, in Jackson.
Mrs. Philip was a 1969 graduate of Jackson High School, and received a degree in speech pathology from Southeast Missouri State University in 1973.
She taught school nine years at Puxico and Jackson. For the past nine years she had been a senior counselor with the State of Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, Section of Disability Determinations in Cape.
Mrs. Philip was a member of New McKendree United Methodist Church, and charter member of Job's Daughters in Jackson.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Paige Kracke of the home; three stepsons, Scott, Darin and Brett Philip of Cape; her parents of Jackson, and a brother, Kirk Davenport of Austin, Tex.
