Sherry Davis

CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Sherry Lynne Davis, 73, of Chaffee passed away Saturday, Jan. 24, 2015, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born April 3, 1941, in Cape Girardeau, to the late Ralph Anthony and Lucille Marie Gornet Pfefferkorn. Sherry married James Davis on Dec. 24, 1959, and he preceded her in death April 26, 1993.

She was a retired store clerk at Dacus Discount in Chaffee and a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Chaffee.

Survivors include two daughters, Kathy Garner of Oran, Missouri, and Debbie (Steve) Smith of Cape Girardeau; one brother, John (Brenda) Pfefferkorn of Jackson; five grandchildren, Jimmy and Jody Hargrove, and Kara, Whitney and Elizabeth Schlosser; five great-grandchildren, Kole Simms, Kaden and Blake Hargrove and Taylor and Mallory Lowes.

Friends may call after 3:30 p.m. Monday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee. Parish prayers will be at 4 p.m.

The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Randy Tochtrop as celebrant. Burial will be at Union Park Cemetery in Chaffee.
