SHERRILL PRESTON

ESSEX -- Sherrill Lynn Preston, 34, of Essex died Monday, Aug. 17, 1998, at Dexter Memorial Hospital in Dexter.

She was born July 8, 1964, at Hayti, daughter of Charles and Betty Gaskin Freeman. She and Rory Preston were married Nov. 4, 1994, at Essex.

Formerly of Caruthersville, she had lived in Essex the past 11 years.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Regina and Jamie Hawks of Caruthersville; a son, Michael Hawks of Caruthersville; her mother of Parma; two brothers, Jimmie Willis of Santa Barbara, Calif., Troy Willis of Essex; three sisters, Sandra McCoy of St. Louis, Vickie Willis and Rebecca Preston of Parma.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter after 9 a.m. Friday.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Kenneth Yates officiating. Burial will be in Triplett Cemetery near Dexter.
