CYPRESS, Ill. -- Shelvia Leon Treat, 53, of Paradise, Texas, formerly of Cypress, died Sunday, June 1, 1997, at his home.
He was born March 26, 1944, in White Hill, son of Charles and Regina Littleton Treat.
Treat was a corrections officer at Wachenhut Pre-release Facility in Bridgeport, Texas. He served in the U.S. Army from 1965-85.
Survivors include two sons, Stanley Treat of Dongola, Steven Treat of Jonesboro; his mother of Cypress; a brother, Roger Treat of Bridgeport; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, two brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Dongola from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Paul Sadler officiating. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery at Cypress, with military rites by Carroll P. Foster VFW Post 3455.
