Shelia M. Craft-Barks, 47, of White Rock, New Mexico, formerly of Jackson, passed away Sunday, Nov. 1, 2015, at her home after a valiant battle with pulmonary fibrosis.

She was born Nov. 5, 1967, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Junior and Laura Medlock Craft. She and Steven Barks were married June 2, 1994, in Oahu, Hawaii.

Shelia attended Jackson High School, graduating in 1986; She graduated from Southeast Missouri State University in 1990, with a degree in business administration. She loved working with children, which she did at New Bethel Baptist Church and Lynwood Baptist Church locally, and more recently at White Rock Baptist Church in New Mexico. Shelia was employed by Barks Equipment in Cape Girardeau until the family moved to New Mexico in 2001. She then was employed by Hartway and Breshears accounting firm in Los Alamos, New Mexico.

Loving survivors include her husband of 21 years; three children, Thomas, Trisha and Travis; two brothers, Dwight (Cathy) Craft and Fred (Julia) Craft, both of Jackson; a sister, Pam Henderson of Jackson; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at New Bethel Baptist Church near Pocahontas, with the Rev. Chuck McCullough of White Rock and the Rev. Ken Grant of Jackson officiating. Interment will be in New Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery near Pocahontas.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to New Bethel Baptist Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 602, Jackson, MO 63755.
