Shelba Jean Lincoln, 79, of Whitewater passed away Saturday, Oct. 19, 2019, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born Jan. 15, 1940, in Cape Girardeau County, daughter of Dale and Ethel "Irene" Sawyer Grindstaff. She and William Ray Lincoln were married June 18, 1960. He preceded her in death April 5, 2007...

Shelba Jean Lincoln, 79, of Whitewater passed away Saturday, Oct. 19, 2019, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Jan. 15, 1940, in Cape Girardeau County, daughter of Dale and Ethel "Irene" Sawyer Grindstaff. She and William Ray Lincoln were married June 18, 1960. He preceded her in death April 5, 2007.

Shelba was a 1958 graduate of Jackson High School. She worked in the shipping department for Columbia Sportswear in Chaffee, Missouri. She attended Bethlehem General Baptist Church in Crump. Shelba enjoyed flower gardening and spending time with her family, especially her grandsons.

Loving survivors include her sons, William Dale (Sandy) Lincoln of Leopold, Missouri, and Ronald Ray (Wendy) Lincoln of Cape Girardeau; grandsons, Will Lincoln and Dale Lincoln; sister, Lois Elaine (Bob) Myers of Whitewater; and sister-in-law, Dorothy Wilson of Cape Girardeau.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and a nephew, Rob Myers.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Joe Allen officiating. Interment will follow in Lessley Ridge Cemetery west of Gravel Hill.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may take the form of contributions to Lessley Ridge Cemetery Association or Bethlehem General Baptist Church.
