Shauna Kay Bennett, 54, of Jackson passed away Thursday, Oct. 13, 2016, at her home.
She was born March 31, 1962, in Seward, Alaska, daughter of John Thomas and Zelma Murrell Nolan Bennett.
Shauna was a 1980 graduate of Jackson High School. She enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and was an F-4 fighter jet mechanic before being honorably discharged in 1988. She worked for Procter & Gamble for 20 years. Shauna was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Cape Girardeau.
Loving survivors include a daughter, Chelsea (Scott) Miller of Liberty Township, Ohio; her mother, Zelma Bennett of Franklin, Tennessee; two brothers, Gordon (Michelle) Bennett of Franklin and Robert (Ginger) Bennett of Apex, North Carolina; and two grandchildren, Mason and Katerina.
She was preceded in death by her father.
A graveside memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at McClain’s Chapel Cemetery in Indian Creek Community, with Jack Kramer officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Safe Harbor Animal Sanctuary, 359 Cree Lane, Jackson, MO 63755.
