Sharon R. McCullough, 79, of Jackson passed away Thursday, Aug. 20, 2015, at the Monticello House.
She was born Aug. 6, 1936, at Neelys Landing, daughter of Archie and Margaret "Maggie" Bullard Bishop. She and Don McCullough were married March 30, 1957, at New Bethel Baptist Church near Pocahontas. He passed away March 31, 2011.
Sharon was a member of New Bethel Baptist, where she was the church pianist for a number of years. She was active in music ministry with her husband and served in many capacities. She worked at Wib's BBQ in Jackson for over 35 years. Most of all, she was devoted to her family.
Loving survivors include two daughters, Donna (Alva) Gilliam of Farmington, Missouri, and Kim (Rich) Jones of Jackson; two grandsons, Travis Wiggins of Jackson and Trent Wiggins of Fredericktown, Missouri; a granddaughter, Amy Rose (Brandon) Youngerman of Delta; two great-grandsons, Logan and Kyler Wiggins; one great-granddaughter, Lacey Rose Wiggins; two stepgrandsons, Blake Gilliam and Josh (Amber) Jones, both of Jackson; two great-stepgranddaughters, Kassidy and Jossie Jones, both of Jackson; a sister, LaDora (Richard) Sides of Jackson; three sisters-in-law, Kathy Bishop of Chaffee, Missouri, Margie Bishop of Oran, Missouri, and Shirley Bishop of Jackson; and two brothers-in-law, Bill and Shannon (Karen) McCullough, both of Jackson.
Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 54 years; three brothers, the Rev. Jasper "Jack" Bishop, the Rev. Delbert Bishop and Lyle "Bob" Bishop.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson and from 10 a.m. until time of service Monday at New Bethel Baptist Church near Pocahontas.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with the Revs. Don Estes and Ken Grant officiating. Interment will be in New Bethel Cemetery near Pocahontas.
Memorials may be made to New Bethel Baptist Church or to the Parkinson's Foundation.
