Mural D'Shannon "Shannon" Davis, 42, of Sikeston, Mo., formerly of Scott City, died Monday, July 16, 2012, in Dexter, Mo., from injuries received in a car accident.
He was born Feb. 3, 1970, in Hayti, Mo., to Richard Zack and Linda McClendon Davis II. He married Sharon Alene Hazel on Aug. 18, 1989.
Shannon was employed by Teroy Sales and Supply.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon of Sikeston; his father of Florida; his mother of Caruthersville, Mo.; a son, William Hazel of Caruthersville; two brothers, Glen Davis of Caruthersville, Zack Davis of Miner, Mo.; a sister, Misty Rudd of Caruthersville; and three grandchildren.

A son, Bubba Davis, also died in the car accident.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.
A celebration of life service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday at the chapel.
Donations can be made to Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City to offset funeral expenses.
