DELTA -- Funeral service for Shannon D. Cook of Delta will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church in Delta. The Rev. Kenneth Martin will officiate, with Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel of Chaffee in charge of the arrangements.

Burial will follow in Union Park Cemetery in Chaffee.

Cook, 17, died Friday night from injuries he sustained in an automobile accident in Delta.

He was born July 2, 1973 in Cape Girardeau, the son of Billy Cook and Donna Givens Seabaugh.

He belonged to the First Baptist Church in Delta and was a sophomore at Delta High School, where he was a member of the Future Farmers of America, Future Homemakers of America, and the Delta Pet Club.

Survivors include his father and step-mother, Bill and Rosemary Cook of rural Chaffee; his mother and step-father, Donna Givens Seabaugh and Rodney Seabaugh of rural Jackson; paternal grandparents, Roy and Stella Cook of Whitewater; maternal grandparents, Cletus and Glenda Givens of Rural Chaffee; step-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Coleman of Scott City and Mr. and Mrs. Gale Seabaugh of rural Jackson; one sister, Scarlett Jo Cook of rural Jackson; one step-sister, Crystal Seabaugh of rural Cape Girardeau; and two step-brothers, Joshua Worthy of rural Chaffee and Thomas Kevin Bailey of rural Chaffee.

Friends may visit at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee after 3 p.m. today.
