Selda Arabelle Briggs, 90, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, April 30, 2004, at the Lutheran Home.
She was born Jan. 12, 1914, in Monroe, Maine, daughter of Fred Fuller and Mildred May Brailey Barden. She and George Willis Briggs were married Aug. 30, 1935, in Monroe. He died in June 1981.
Mrs. Briggs was a graduate of Monroe High School. She was a member of the Methodist Church, Order of Eastern Star, Garden Club, Senior Citizens and The Naples Grange, all in Naples, Maine.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Janet and Robert Roth of Leesburg, Va., Doris and Donald Wunderlich Sr. of Diamondhead, Miss.; five grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in Swanville, Maine. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery in Swanville.
Memorial contributions may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church of New Wells Tuition Fund or Saxony Lutheran High School.
