Lewis, 80, died Monday, Aug. 3, 1992, in St. Charles.

She was born June 8, 1912, in Ware, Ill., daughter of Arthur and Esta Emaline Winchester Hungerford. She married Lester Lewis July 13, 1929, in Murphysboro. He died July 16, 1981.

Survivors include a daughter, Jean Lemon of Paradise, Texas; a sister, Martha Garrott of Jonesboro; eight grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter.
