Sarah Frances "Sallie" Bradley, 94, of Cape Girardeau, formerly of Anna, Ill., died Friday, Aug. 26, 2011, at the Lutheran Home.
She was born Aug. 14, 1917, in Union County, daughter of Harry and Monica Wiggins Treece. She and James Bradley were married Aug. 6, 1941, in Jackson.
Sallie is survived by her husband of 70 years, James Bradley of Cape Girardeau; nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded by a brother, Tyrus Treece.
Sallie was confirmed at Mount Moriah Lutheran Church in Anna, and was a member of Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church in Glen Ellyn, Ill. Sallie was passionate about her many hours of volunteer work at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital and Faith Lutheran Church.
She was a 1934 graduate of Anna-Jonesboro Community High School. She was secretary at Union County Farm Bureau a number of years.
Sallie greatly enjoyed fishing, golfing, bowling and playing cards. She will be dearly missed and warmly remembered by everyone who knew her.
Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with a nephew, the Rev. Dr. Sam White, officiating. Burial will be in Casper Cemetery in Anna.
Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's charity of choice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
