JACKSON -- Sarah Amanda Faherty, 82, of Jackson, died Tuesday, July 19, 1994, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Nov. 28, 1911, in Jackson, daughter of Maurice A. and Kathryn Paul Short. She and James Faherty were married Dec. 26, 1956. He died May 31, 1963.
Faherty was an inspector more than 40 years with Ely Walker in St. Louis, retiring in 1977.
Survivors include four brothers, Lester Short of Webster Groves, Norman Short of Kalamazoo, Mich., Paul Short of Jackson, and Joe Short of Houston, Texas.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Grant F.C. Gillard officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery at Fruitland.
