Sandra Lee Kimbrough, 74, of Jackson passed away Sunday, Aug. 7, 2016, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born April 5, 1942, in Chicago, daughter of Julius J. and Audrey J. Davis Spooner.
Sandra earned a bachelor's degree in elementary education from Abilene Christian College in Abilene, Texas. Her first teaching position was in Hobbs, New Mexico, and, among other schools, she taught at Fort Worth Christian College in Fort Worth, Texas.
She moved from Texas to Jackson in 2000 and became a member of Fruitland Church of Christ in Fruitland.
Loving survivors include a son, Scott J. (Meredith) Kimbrough of Round Rock, Texas; two grandchildren, Cassidy and Cooper Kimbrough; and a sister, LaDonna (the late Frank) Harris of Jackson.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
The visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Thursday at Chapel B of McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home; the minister will be Joe Chesser.
Interment will be in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
