SCOTT CITY -- Funeral for Samuel Harvey Pace of Scott City will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City. The Rev. Frank Giunta will officiate, with burial in Lightner Cemetery.

Friends may call at the chapel from 5-8:30 p.m. today.

Pace, 79, died Sunday, Sept. 20, 1998, at his home.

He was born Oct. 24, 1918, at Doniphan, son of Sherls and Jessie Landon Pace. He and Deloma Mae Parks were married Dec. 23, 1939, at Doniphan.

Pace had been a truck driver for Atomic Transit Film Service, and also a security guard at Procter and Gamble. He was a member of Free Will Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Tom Pace of Benton; a daughter, Sue Cox of Doniphan; four brothers, Hubert Pace of Farmington, Homer Pace of Piedmont, Hurles Pace of Somerset, Ky., Herman Pace of Mountain View, Ark.; two sisters, Nell Clayton of Farmington, Mae Clifton of Columbia, Ill.; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sons, two brothers, a sister, and two grandchildren.
