ALTO PASS, Ill. -- Samuel Hurst, 83, of Alto Pass died Saturday, Nov. 24, 2001, at the City Care Center in Cobden, Ill.
He was born Aug. 30, 1918, at Cobden, son of Ernest and Nancy Hurst. He and Anita Gaye Pearson were married Oct. 15, 1980.
Hurst was a member of the Labor Local 1330 and a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Sharon Clemens of Alabama, Donna Davis of Anna, Ill., and Tishea Pearson of Alto Pass; two sisters, Mary Newberry of Anna and Kathryn George of Michigan; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son and a brother.
Friends may call at the Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna after 9:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Anna city cemetery. The Carroll P. Foster VFW Post 3455 of Anna will present military honors at the grave.
