SIKESTON -- Samuel D. Dollar, 92, of Sikeston died Saturday, Jan. 25, 1992, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
He was born Dec. 6, 1899, in Cedarview, Miss., the son of Thomas D. and Ruth Amanda Ham Dollar. On May 5, 1916, he married Mary Louis Alsup, who preceded him in death July 30, 1972.
He was a retired farmer and a member of the Pekin, Ill. Baptist Church.
Survivors include five sons, Kermit Dollar of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Boyce and Tom Dollar, both of Sikeston, Robert Dollar of Farmington, Ill., and Darryl Dollar of Otis Orchards, Wash.; four daughters, Pauline Russell of Peoria, Ill., Lucille Rosier of Beach Island, S.C., Dorothy McDonald of Chino, Calif., and Janice Jones of Cape Girardeau; 32 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four sons.
Funeral service will be at 3 p.m. today at the Crews, Wesh and Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston. The Rev. Kelly Grubbs and the Rev. Lee Fanfler will co-officiate, and burial will be in the New Morley Cemetery in Morley.
