Sammy LeGrand

Samuel R. "Sammy" LeGrand, 61, of Cape Girardeau passed away Saturday, June 20, 2020, at home.

He was born June 27, 1958, in Cape Girardeau to the late Ben and Lucille Fredrick LeGrand.

Sammy attended Parkview State School until he was 18 years old. He worked for VIP Industries and Horizon Enrichment Center. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Cape Girardeau.

Loving survivors include his siblings, Ronald (Sue) LeGrand of Jackson, David (Diane) LeGrand of Cape Girardeau, Yvonne Finnegan of Richmond, Virginia, and Tom (Brenda) LeGrand, Karen (Gene) Golden, Yvette (David) West, Tammy (Richie) Jordan and Darryl (Gina) LeGrand, all of Cape Girardeau; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and -nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Carol Ann Lemons, Michael and Stephen LeGrand, Catherine Nell LeGrand and Joseph LeGrand.

Private family burial will take place Wednesday. A funeral Mass will be held at a later date.

Memorial donations may be given to VIP Industries or the Jessica Diane LeGrand Scholarship at Notre Dame Regional High School.
