Sammy J. Isaacs, 76, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, June 4, 2017, at his home.

He was born May 22, 1941, in West Frankfort, Illinois, to Ralph and Ivern Daniels Isaacs.

He and Rose Randol were married Nov. 13, 1960, in Morley, Missouri.

Sammy retired from the Chrysler Assembly Plant in Fenton, Missouri.

He attended Lynwood Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau.

He is survived by his wife, Rose Isaacs, and son, Scott Isaacs, both of Cape Girardeau; two daughters, Cheryl Altrogge of Fenton, Missouri, and Melissa (Jeff) Presson of Affton, Missouri; five grandchildren, Jessica, Kimberly, Kayla, Justin and Autumn; three great-grandchildren, Jada, Dylan and Kathleen; mother-in-law, Edith Adams, and stepfather-in-law, Ben Adams, both of Cape Girardeau; and four sisters-in-law, Maxine Abernathy of Oran, Missouri, Sally Thurlkill of Cape Girardeau and Connie Randol (Rex Grossman) and Sherri (Scott) Summers, both of Osgood, Indiana.

He was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law, Silas Randol; and two brothers-in-law, Jimmy Abernathy and Bill Thurlkill.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Mark Anderson officiating. Burial will be at New Morley Cemetery in Morley.

Memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
