CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Sally Josephine Tate, daughter of the late Fred Albert and Alberta Bradley Harmon, was born March 24, 1920, in Hickeytown, Arkansas, and departed this life Saturday, May 30, 2020, at Chaffee Nursing Center in Chaffee at the age of 100 years.

Sally was a member of First Baptist Church in Oran, Missouri, for 65 years. She retired as a cook from Oran (Missouri) School District and was a former resident of Oran.

On July 30, 1938, she was united in marriage to James J. Tate in Sikeston, Missouri. He preceded her in death Oct. 10, 2006.

Survivors include daughters, Phyllis D. (Alfred) Pearson of Oran and Regina (Roy) Griffin of Sikeston, Missouri; brother, Bob Harmon; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Fred Harmon Jr., and sisters, Hazel Anthony, Imogene Uptain and Mary Gentry.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Forest Hills Cemetery near Morley, Missouri, with the Rev. Donny Ford officiating.
