SALLY ELIZABETH HAMPTON

DEXTER -- Sally Elizabeth Hampton, 77, of Dexter died Saturday, Jan. 21, 1995, at Dexter Memorial Hospital.

She was born in Malden on Jan. 9, 1918, the daughter of John E. and Minnie Ola Rootz Shelton. On March 6, 1946, she married Kermit Allen Hampton. He preceded her in death on May 13, 1987.

Hampton also was preceded in death by a son, a sister and five brothers.

Survivors include six brothers, Russell and David Shelton, both of Dexter, Wes and Ralph Shelton, both of Malden, Howard Shelton of Puxico and John E. Shelton Jr. of Poplar Bluff; and three sisters, Ruby Kitrel of Bloomfield, Rose Allen of Aid and Agnes Blake of Malden.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. today at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter. The Rev. Mike Cochran will officiate, and burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Malden.
