Sadie Miederhoff

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Sadie Brandel Miederhoff, 97, of Perryville died Thursday, Aug. 25, 2005, at Perry County Memorial Hospital.

She was born Jan. 9, 1908, in Warren County, Mo., daughter of John and Mary Engemann Bruckerhoff. She and William Brandel were married July 17, 1927. He died in November 1962. She and Antone Miederhoff were married July 10, 1965. He died Sept. 20, 1973.

Miederhoff had been a cook at the former airport in Perryville and had worked at International Shoe Co.

She was a member of Christ the Savior Catholic Church and its Ladies Sodality at Brewer, Mo.

Survivors include two sons, Robert Brandel of St. Louis, Patrick Brandel of Perryville; a daughter, Wilma "Deloris" Engemann of High Ridge, Mo.; 11 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister and a brother.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, and 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. Tuesday. The parish wake will be at 7 p.m. Monday.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Christ the Savior Catholic Church, with the Rev. Felipe Martinez officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
