SADIE L. PETZOLDT

POCAHONTAS -- Sadie L. Petzoldt, 87, of Pocahontas, died Tuesday, Sept. 24, 1991, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

She was born June 15, 1904, near Pocahontas, daughter of William B. Ludwig and Emma Sauerbrunn.

She married Aaron Petzoldt, Jan. 9, 1947. He died Feb. 6, 1957.

She is survived by a foster cousin, Cecil Sauerbrunn, Oak Ridge, one brother-in-law and three sisters-in-law.

She was preceded in death by one brother.

She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Pocahantas, where she was the church organist for many years. She was also a member of the church Ladies Aid group.

She was employed for many years at the International Shoe Companies in Cape Girardeau and Jackson. She has resided at the Lutheran Home for six years.

Friends may call today from 4-8 p.m. at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson.

Funeral service will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church with the Rev. Albert Nyland officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
