STE. GENEVIEVE, Mo. -- Funeral for Ryan James Otte of Ste. Genevieve County was held Thursday at Taylor Funeral Home in Farmington, Mo. The Rev. Donald E. Cox Sr. officiated. Burial was in Little Vine Cemetery in Ste. Genevieve County.

Otte, 18, died Monday, Sept. 11, 2000, at Cardinal Glennon Hospital in St. Louis.

He was born May 9, 1982, in Ste. Genevieve, son of Brian and Lisa Otte.

Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Lisa and Roger Weiler of Ste. Genevieve; his father and stepmother, Brian and Charlotte Otte of St. Mary; a sister, Ashley Weiler of Ste. Genevieve; a brother, Michael Otte of St. Mary; a stepsister, Heather Weiler of Farmington; two stepbrothers, Christopher Brethold of Patton, Mo., and Travis Weiler of Farmington.

Also surviving are grandparents, Glenn and Pearl Otte of St. Mary, Walter Weiler Jr. of Ste. Genevieve, Don and Vada Cox of Cape Girardeau, Yewell and Shirley Taylor of Sikeston, Mo.; and great-grandmothers, Beulah Ervin of Sparta, Ill., and Lucille Taylor of Sikeston.
