RUTH WILKINSON

MILLERSVILLE -- Funeral service for Ruth Wilkinson of Millersville will be held at 2 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Chapel in Jackson. The Rev. Fred Rister will officiate, with burial in Russell Heights Cemetery at Jackson.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 8:30 a.m. to service time.

Wilkinson, 88, died Tuesday, Nov. 23, 1993, at Deal Nursing Home in Jackson.

She was born April 2, 1905, at Daisy, daughter of DeWitt and Ollie Wills Smith. She and Amon Wilkinson were married July 3, 1938. He died Dec. 22, 1980.

Wilkinson formerly worked at International Shoe Co. in Jackson. She was a member of Millersville United Methodist Church and its Women's Society of Christian Service. She moved from the family farm near Millersville in 1986.

Survivors include a foster son, Carl Smith of Jackson, and a niece, Lawana Bell of Perryville.

She was preceded in death by a brother.
