SIKESTON, Mo. -- Funeral for Ruthie May Shelton of Sikeston will be held at 10:30 a.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Shelton, 71, died Saturday, June 16, 2001, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

She was born July 24, 1929, in Piggott, Ark., daughter of Benjamin Franklin and Eula Warren.

Shelton had lived in Sikeston since 1969, and owned and operated Ruth's La Cantina.

Survivors include two daughters, Doris Bartle of Jackson, Mo., Bobbie Wheatley of Sikeston; and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, three brothers, and a sister.
