RUTH O. FINNEY

ORAN -- Ruth O. Finney, 69, of Oran, died Tuesday, July 14, 1992, at St. Francis Medical Center.

She was born Jan. 2, 1923, in Tipton, Tenn., daughter of John Biffle and Myrtle Iva Osbon Orr. She was formerly married to Jack Finney.

Finney was a staff sergeant with the U.S. Marines during World War II. She was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church.

Survivors include two sons, John Finney of Cape Girardeau, Fred Finney of West Point, Va.; two brothers, Noel and Frank Orr of Oran; a sister, Thelma Thompson of Oran, and six grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the chapel. The Rev. Bruce Edwards will officiate, with burial in Lorimier Cemetery.
