DEXTER -- Ruth Golden Miller, 90, of Dexter died Monday, March 13, 2000, at Dexter Memorial Hospital.
She was born April 25, 1909, at Linn, daughter of William Thomas and Louise Catherene Seig Tharp. She and John Robert Miller were married Nov. 7, 1927. He died Aug. 29, 1986.
Miller had lived at Poplar Bluff and Parma, moving to Dexter in 1984. She farmed with her husband many years and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church at Dexter.
Survivors include three daughters, Doris Biggs and Betty Lowrey of Parma, Shirley DeJournett of Dexter; a brother, Chester Tharp of Springfield; a sister, Alice Ragsdale of Pontiac, Mich.; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several stepgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, three brothers and four sisters.
Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Bob Wiggins officiating. Burial will be in Hagy Cemetery.
