Ruth Helen Fox, 90, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, Jan. 21, 2000, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
She was born Aug. 17, 1909, at Leadwood, daughter of Daniel and Nora Jane Martin Ringer. She and Theodore H. Fox were married on Sept. 15, 1939, at Cape Girardeau. He preceded her in death Sept. 15, 1979.
She was a shoe factory worker and worked at St. Francis Hospital. She was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral and the Council of Catholic Women. She also was a member of the Carpenters Union Auxiliary.
Survivors include two sons, Richard P. Fox and Joseph F. Fox, both of Memphis; three sisters, Alberta Sawyer, Mildred Foster and Lillian Jones, all of Cape Girardeau; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a brother.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. today at Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel. Parish prayers will be said at 6 p.m. today.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Cathedral with Msgr. Richard Rolwing officiating. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery.
